Hey everyone I am back with another combined post. This time I am talking about the Conventions of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World and the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith. The reason I am combining these two organizations Conventions is because they are convening during the same time and they are having a combined service. PCAF is an offspring of PAW so it truly amazes me that as an offspring they are convening together for a service. In the church world we rarely see that, but this excites me and I pray and hope that this is the catalyst for unity within the body of Christ. Last year in Orlando, Florida history was made when both organizations came together for a joint service. This year the same will be done but this time in New Orleans, Louisiana. They have also combined forces with Habitat for Humanity to present someone with a brand new house built by members of both organizations.
The PCAF National Convention is from August 3 - 8, 2012. This conference looks like it is going to be an amazing time in the Lord. They have a prolific group of speakers in the line up this year. The speakers are Evangelist Carolyn Showell, Elder Aaron Porter, the Presiding Bishop Bishop J.E. Moore, Bishop Charles Ellis III, Bishop Robert Fortson Sr., Evangelist Sandra Riley, and Pastor Marvin Sapp. With this great line up of speakers, this is the Convention you want to attend. They have a series of events in the afternoon one in particular is a concert featuring brothers Jonathan and Jason Nelson on August the 5th. This conference as a whole looks like it is going to be something that will be enjoyable for the whole family.
On August 5 - 11, 2012 Pentecostal Assemblies of the World is convening. They also have a great line up of preachers this year as they tend to always do for their Convention this year. The speakers are Bishop Clifton Jones, Dr. Carolyn Showell (who is speaking at both Conventions), Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop Marion Wright, Co-Pastor Wanda Parker and Bishop Lambert Gates. Through these speakers I can see that PAW is definitely going to get a word from God. Both organizations are placing a great emphasis on community outreach during this Convocation, especially in PAW. I feel that is so awesome because like I have said the one place that the needs of people should be met is the church. As the oldest Apostolic Pentecostal organization I commend PAW for still being a vibrant organization. I truly believe Bishop Haywood the founder would be pleased with the progress the organization has made over these many years.
So PAW and PCAF have a great time in the Lord. I am sure you are going to leave a deposit from the Lord that is both natural and spiritual in the the city of New Orleans where the city will never be the same.
